Dear WSTN Members, Supporters and Friends,

We wanted to share this important letter from eight U.S. Senators, including WSTN’s March 9th Capitol Hill Forum sponsor Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming. In it, the Senators urge U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel to advance Japan’s efforts as Group of Seven (G7) president this year to make energy security – and “the role LNG can play as a reliable, low-emissions fuel” – a top G7 policy priority. The letter makes specific recommendations about what the Senators would like to see the G7 nations adopt as policy this year. All of those align with WSTN’s policy priorities.

Japan’s leading perspective on LNG as a tool of energy security and its plan to advocate for that as G7 President was one of the highlights of our West Coast LNG Exports Forum in December. It is sure to be a major topic at our discussion on Capitol Hill, registration for which is available here.

We are gratified to see that our vision is shared on the global stage and will be continuing our work to advance LNG as a tool of economic, environmental and energy security with your support.

Sincerely,
Andrew Browning
President, Western States and Tribal Nations
